They always say to do what you love. But what happens when there is nowhere to do it? When it comes to dance, there are only a few options... you either become a professional, or you become a dance teacher. There are very few performance opportunities for those who fall in between. You can spend your whole childhood going to dance class after school, you can join a club or a team in college, and then you may not know where to go next. Most of us find classes and ways to stay moving, but for many, the passion and fulfillment lies in the art of performance.
Spotlight Dance Ensemble is the newest outlet for men and women 18 and older to showcase their love for dance on stage. Peer choreographers will present their piece to all dancers, and hold auditions for each number. These dances will rehearse every week on Sundays, and perform in two shows during late spring 2019.
This creative environment allows adults 18 and older to continue dancing and performing, alongside friends and peers, with no limits, and a low time commitment. The intention of Spotlight Dance Ensemble is to perpetuate the joy of performing on stage no matter what phase of life you're in.
Spotlight Dance Ensemble is a collaborative performance company that works to entertain audiences twice a year by performing various styles of dance.
